This is a female blackbird. They are sort of grey-brown and not black like the male. They are rather shy birds. With a lot of patience I got a fairly good close-up of the male - pls see my last post - for which I was rewarded with a c-index of 32 - Perhaps people mistook him for a crow! May the females fare better :)

It is another very lovely bird photo,we can see several male and female (common)Blackbirds here too.

Good shot Raj. Maybe it is Crow not Cow index. Whatever the voters missed that one. Let's hope they get this one right. Excellent shot and once again "Four and twenty............." and I'm not talking Index.

A excellent shot Raj. Great closeup with good colour and clarity. Take two C-sick pills get plenty of rest then check the c-index in the mourning. Faved

Raj, the voters often don't see how special an image is and how many effort was put in it. Had the same: once I stood with my ankles in the mud to capture a, to me special, image. It was rewarded with 19!. The other time I took within 5 seconds a 'snapshot' in the garden of my wife, and it got 85!
To me your black bird images are special and fine images to me. Like to say thank you for it. Really hope that other and my positive comments make more sense than any bad C-index score.

Perhaps the voters have been keeping company with Jack Daniels when they do their voting. You never know. Nice colors in this shot. I like the background, too.
