This is a Bornean Orangutan, also known as Pongo pygmaeus. He is rather old and no longer so agile as he used to be but I observed that the family still respected him - made way for him when he passed etc.
It is like many of the elders in all walks of life Raj. Hopefully it is respect and not toleration. I think with a little editing you could have really made his face stand out. It is a great shot and has even more potential.
Raj - I see a pensive, almost sad look on this old guy's face. He might need a heavy dose of moisture cream on his face and hands, however (;-)). Terrific composition. Thad
I agreewith Pat - I would be making way for him as well- he looks as though he is used to being obeyed. He is a fine looking creature and seems to have a lot hidden behind those wise eyes.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . .
