A fresh dahlia in full bloom.
I saw a rather negative comment on a flower post of one of my friends. To all flower haters I say : A flower is a beautiful subject for a photo. True, it does not move and therefore it is easier to photograph. But it is the same with scenery, architecture etc. etc. Now with c-index gone, you don't have the chance to give a 0 or a 1 for a beautiful flower any more.

Raj - Even a flower hater's heart would melt when seeing this beautiful dahlia bloom. You beautifully photograph these striking blooms. Lighting, color, and clarity are very nice, with the bloom nested nicely among the green leafage. My only suggestion is that there is a flower bud right above the bloom that somewhat draws the eye away from the bloom. Either a slightly different angle of shooting to keep it from view or reposition it, or post-photo cloning would be my critique. Thad

I will never understand how anyone could dislike flowers - or photos of them.
Of course it is so easy to get a nice shot - lol just point and shoot. Anyone who believes that would believe anything and has never tried to get a good shot of one.
The subtle variations of colour in this dahlia are very beautiful and against the muted green background it makes a delightful picture.

Raj, this is a beautiful Dalhia, and even flowers can be tricky to shoot, to capture the color of certain one, and not get them overexposed. You know I'm a foofy fan! Lol! ♥♥tigs=^..^=

I always enjoy your Friday Foofies and this is no exception Raj. Try taking a photo of a white or red flower and getting the colors just right. It is not easy. Cindy is right about the comment. It was meant in jest.
