This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By. Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Really stands out against the dark background, Raj. Quite beautiful. The stripe frame takes much away from the subject material. I know I keep harping on this to everyone, but the stripes reduce or eliminate impact, as you simply cannot view the subject for itself, without including the stripe...and the brighter the stripe the greater the distraction.
One of the finest flower shots I've ever seen and one that I know I will never be able to capture. I don't like flowers and they can sense that and do everything they can to make my flower shots substandard. They move when there's no wind, they blink, refuse to smile and sometimes hold two leaves over the face of the adjacent petal to create "rabbit ears".
That being said, I agree with Doug. I've seen and admired many a border of this site, but typically I avoid them. Doug actually showed up at my door unannounced, and with a baseball bat in hand, whooped me into unconsciousness. Additionally the crop at the top is a little tight and I probably would have offset the orchids just a tinge, which is less than a smidgen but more than a teensy bit.
the black backing really sets the Orchids off
