The term "birdbrained" is justified in the case of ostrich who buries its head in sand when there is danger. I have never seen that and so I cannot say if this is true.
Raj, think it's looking for its spectacles now. Probably buried in the sand while doing an attempt to escape from danger, ☺ . Good one that makes me smile too. Thanks!

He has a cheeky face. They are said to be a bit brainless (bird brained) but this one appears quite knowing. I wonder if anyone ever has seen one bury its head in the sand. It is just something we have known for ever but I for one have never seen any proof. I think that needs to be your mission Raj ! Get a shot of him with his head buried so we may all see it to be correct :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
