I found this beautiful display of bloom smiles and bud on Friday morning. These blooms are from what is known as a Sport. Some canes that came up on the right side of my pink blooming rosebush named Sexy Rexy have made these blooms for three years now. So I definately have what is known as a Sport. If I can propagate it to make more and they are hardy enough, I may have the chance to name the resulting rosebush! Thanks for your views and comments! :o)

Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.
It must be really satisfying to know that you made a new species of rose like this. You are one that is definatly going to leave the world more beautiful than when you came into it. A beautiful rose and a more beautiful capture.

Stan, I like to compare the situation with some of the tulip growers in our country. If they succeed in creating a new species of a tulip, they have the right to give this tulip a name. Usually then the tulip is named after a member of our royal family. The person to whom the tulip is named, will officially be offered the first copy. The press is taking this event in abundance.
I suppose when the time comes for you to give a rosebush a name, it will a great honor too. With respect to the press, you only may have the misfortune to not live in our country, lol.
