This is the same rose I posted a couple days ago. This is a different angle of course and using my black fabric background. The roses are now truly done for the season here. We got 12 inches of wet heavy snow last night. It crushed and broke many of the rosebushes and their canes. It also made many trees look like a war zone withmany broken branches.... If it had to happen it is probably best it did so now. Still hard to see it happen. I still have a few rose photos to download from my camera so there may be a few more to share. Thank you for your views and comments.

I heard that Denver was going to get some snow, but 12 inches? Wow! I am sorry that the roses have to go too. This is an exceptional beauty and a very robust looking specimen. You could have a contest just to see who could count correctly all the petals she is showing off for us. Beautiful post, Stan.

I still love this one...more than any other. It is outstanding in every way. I'm so sorry that the snow demolished your rosebushes but everything will flourish in Spring! Thank you for the great ride, Stan. Still looking forward to more posts...Vanda

It doesn't get any better then this one Ace. I can see it is a dream come true. The Cardinals were rained out tonight and they showed the Rockies Stadium with all the snow. I figured your roses were in trouble. Maybe there is one sticking out of the snow that you could share with us.
A glorious shot.

Sad to hear this, Stan, but one has to accept this.
Thanks anyhow for another splendid 'portrait' of one of your 'queens'.

What a shame your roses got so battered by the storm Stan.
So glad you have some photos left.
This is a most stunningly beautiful bloom.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
