This blue window caught my eye. It is one of the windows of an old building where the women living in the houses in the block, baked there bred together (bakehouse). It is still in use, and the bred is baked the old way on stone slab. The house is built of cinder stones from the old iron works factory that owned the houses where the workers lived.

All comments are most wellcome. I thank you in advance for taking the time. Always greatly appreciated!

Beautiful natural textures Susanne. I can see the bread trays through the window. Makes me want a loaf and some hot butter. Good colorful post.

Image and narrative perform a perfect match here. Very interesting too as both are 'telling' a part of the culture and traditions of Sweden. Well done Susanne.

I love the colors and the curtains. Good eye, Susanne. I know that many cultures have a bread baking place in the community for the people, but I didn't know they did this in Sweden too.
I don't know many women in the US who even bake bread any more.

I really like this picture a lot Susanne. From the colors to the textures, but also the voyeur in me to be able to look into the window and see the tables and baking tools. Most certainly, a fav.
