This duck was the only one with this unusual look in a flock of Mallard ducks. Not only the color but also the "hairstyle" looked different. I havn´t seen one like this before and I am wondering if you know what kind of duck this is?

Under the new immigration law in Sweden ducks of all kinds are allowed into the country :) Never seen one like that Susanne but she is cute. Well captured!

I think it is a whitis orangaillis Swedish customs duck Susanne. It is very rare. Can always spot them around photographers. Very nice post.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??
What an excellent shot Susanne! I'm thinking maybe it just hurt its head and it healed that way, cause I've never seen a duck like this before either. Sure is cute though!

I looked in both my Bird books and it does not show this Solid White Duck with Orange Beak. Which only means it is not native to the U.S.
However they do run Commercials on TV advertising health insurance with this same Type of Duck. Here in America we call him AFLAC. Named after the Insurance Company. LOL.

Perhaps he was stolen by the mallards while still very young and now thinks he's one of them...;-)) that pompadour hairdo makes him look kind of rakish.
