I spotted these Whooper Swans in the marsh land near a small lake in the woods. They have three little ones but I only managed to get one of them in the photo. They are hiding in the grasses. You will have to view full screen to see the little one in the grasses, to the right, below the swan to the right

All comments are most wellcome. I thank you in advance for taking the time. Always greatly appreciated!

Hi Susanne, I like that this photo isn't a close up so you can see how the swans and their littleones move through the grasses. Ofcourse I would love to see a close up too because of the beauty of these birds. Hasn't the grasses a wonderful green colour?! Enjoying this post.. Mich

Agree to a certain extend with Michel's comment Susanne. To me it's wonderful to see the swans in their natural evironment. With cropping the character of your image would have gone lost as well! Thanks for this very fine post.

Mich has a good point. I like seeing the area where the swans are wandering. That little one looks so cute...I would love to see it close up. Those are beautiful birds. The bills are so colorful. Great shot, Susanne.

A very beautiful and natural picture of these beautiful swans.
It shows the environment in which they live.
I do not think you should cut the picture, for it shows the beautiful environment that they live in. A very good work Susanne.

A lovely capture of the parents & baby swan(s). I do see the one baby in the grass ... so cute. I'm enjoying the green surroundings with the wildflowers too. Very nicely captured Susanne.

Put me in the not crop camp Susanne. I like how it relates them to their environment. Good post and the flowers and the little one blends so well. All that green is spectacular.

Different-looking swans in a sea of green... I like the simplicity of your shot, and, yes, I spotted the baby nestled down in the grass.
