Amish man needed tires for his wagon, so I guess he found a couple and was headed home to get back to work. Maybe ahead of a storm that looks like it could be coming up.
Good candid capture and yet honoring his privacy as they do not especially like cameras I can't imagine getting caught in a storm in an open buggy like this. tigs=^..^=
First of all, you have just about the best subject I've seen on Caedes. TicK (from Missouri) used to post shots of the Amish from time to time. I think the photo could have been improved slightly by shifting the subject to the right a bit. Also the cloud on the right side seems to have bitten off the top of a tree. Otherwise, this is a solid 9 out of 10 for me.
Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.
As DOTS said above....Tick used to post a lot of this subject..which I thoroughly enjoyed!...as I do this one too....A bit of humour about the BIG tyres...(I wonder if they fit his carriage eh!) lol
Like to agree about the work of Tick as mentioned above. Must say however that this image resembles a painting, Carol! A well composed and moody scene. Perfectly done! Thanks!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
The future of this planet will be silence since mankind is too busy destroying it. BTW find the classic definition of Caedes here. Tutty bye for bye now. (o:
