Carol, I don't know when this capture was taken, but because of the open barn door, I don't think it was winter. The fact that no livestock can be seen can have two possibilities: the barn has been abandoned or the livestock is grazing outside. An intriguing photograph! The intriguing character of your capture has been enhanced by your editing.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

You know, you seem to have a true gift in these marvelous works of art you create. There is something that is special, and not common, you are gifted and we have the joy of appreciation of these magnificent scenes.
Hey Carol, does the Iowa State Archives know that you have access to their historic barn photography? (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) For many years I had access to ours and I swear that these filters and the way you use them are superb at recreating history.
