Handled the technical side of things well (again), Tom. Took a look at the largest resolution size and near to no noise present. Well done.
Composition is good good, too.
Although, if I may and being bold here.. think you could get away with a slight crop of the top (still keeping the cloud formation in the right-hand side). And in turn, move the horizon off the midpoint a tad more.
Creative suggestion..
Just curious as to what a B & W conversion might, or might not.. add to the overall feel and mood?
Thanks for sharing this one with us, and glad you got through Irene relatively unscathed (had friends without power in the area for four days ... their generators were working overtime and then some).
Beautiful lead in with the rocky shoreline. Fog is difficult to capture well, but you had no problem. We lost no power this time, but my mom in CT needs a new garage roof now and just got power back today.
Tom - I am glad we went to the Cape this past Memorial Day weekend. Seeing this image reminds me of how I miss the beautiful place when not there. Thad
You didn't say for certain if this was taken before or after the storm. I too enjoy the moody atmosphere the foggy shoreline evokes. I like the angle and muted colors. Nice work on that fog! Glad to hear you only had to suffer a few days of rustic life. : )
