Wonderful perspective view up those neat stone steps. That plus the combination of lush foliage & fence lead the eye right up to the framed opening of the gate. ...Ed

Wow! The lighting, the colors, the textures, and the composition all form a truly exquisite scene. A blue ribbon shot if ever there was one.

Tom - This reminds me of some of the gardens seen in Charleston, SC. Kudos to your friend for creating this and to you for capturing it well. Thad

I sure do like your POV here and that iron fence and gate too...with just a peek, we can only wonder at the garden itself but with such an entrance I'm sure it must be quite lovely...nicely done here, Tom.

Soon I saw a wonderful movie called «The Secret Garden» (1993). This magnificent photograph of Tom reminded me of the beautiful garden of the movie... This is the entrance to Paradise...

The way you bring us through a dark, heavily-grown area and up into the light is educated composition at its best. I see where one commenter likened it to a movie scene and another was wondering if the bird is real. I concur with both. It has the quality of a staged movie shot where the camera rolls forward to emotionally move the viewer into a new scene, one that is meant to uplift the spirit. As to the bird, looking closely I think I see a circular stand that is holding the metallic bird in position. 5 stars!
