The sun on this day at the beach near our home was viewed through the dust cloud from Africa sweeping over Greece, and it was also really very windy. I could have used some advice on how to keep the sea water from my lens while trying to hold the camera steady! Thanks for viewing and commenting.

You did quite well considering the elements you were dealing with, Vicki. We occasionally get the dust clouds from Africa when the south winds blow. Dirty cars everywhere! I don't have an answer regarding keeping your lens dry from sea spray. Even with proper cleaning aids, the saltwater isn't very good for a camera.

You did a good job on this one, and I hope lens is fine after this attempt. Good composition, and the power of the water, can be felt so clearly. tigs=^..^=

Wow, the rocky shore and the bush appear to be leaping as much as the waves are. I've had the same problem with spray and so just keeping a very soft and absorbent cloth in my bag helps. Repeated wiping and shooting eventually provides a shot taken in between water drops hitting the lens (plus, Photoshop can remove any that do appear). That's the great thing about digital; we can shoot until the cats come home (I live in a city... no cows here).

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
