This piece took lots of time, both in terms of composition and rendering. My twin sister inspired this image. She had a mild stroke this past fall and is in the process of pulling her life back together. The old saying, "when God shuts a door, He opens a window" came to mind. I can see my sister sitting there with a new love in the not too distant future......<g> Hope you like. Thanks for looking.

Wow Wen you outdid yourself on this one girlfriend!!! the detail is exquisite for sure. The sun setting and shining on the house on the right...it is duplicated on open window on the right of the image as well. there is misty-like appearance over the water. extremely realistic. I like how the water and the horizon just seem to disappear together in the background.
The bird on the windowsill is lacking detail. Of course, I have no clue how you do what you do so good :)
I noticed that the edges of the table are not smooth..for some reason that caught my eye. Maybe you could enlighten me so I have a better understanding of this awesome work you do. I don't mean to be critical.....actually inquisitive :)
I love how you have the couple posed, that is such typical posture for sitting on a dock! The dog, well, a golden Labrador, right? lol
This went right to my favorites and is going to go on my desktop so i can admire it for a few more days.
Many thanks for sharing the piece of art with me :=)

Caught this in the VB and scored it VERY high. I cannot believe it is a render, it looks much more like a painting of some sort. Excellent, excellent work.

I hope your sister does well on her road to recovery, i will say a prayer for her, as I'm sure many others here will as well.

Wendy you just gave me a most wonderful idea!! I love this window effect. I can't paint people at all, but I would love to paint a canvas painting with a beach scene, and then the windows opening up to it..would you mind if I used your idea? I have been searching for something new to paint..I would love to give this a try...please let me know. THis is just exciting..verena

Looks great, I think emotionaly tied images are our best work. I am rendering a scene that was very emotionaly inspired and I think it is going to be my best render yet. This is great scene and it seems to say exactly what I think all you need in life is a good woman/man, a house, a sailboat, and a good dog.
