A very good composition with the trees in the foreground and with the branches providing a nice contrast to the almost pastelcolored sky. A very good work.

What a great place to stand and watch the sunrise Elizabeth. You capture them so well. This is why we joined this site to look and learn. I have the looking down, just need to work on the learn. Great post.

It's really great Elizabeth, not presenting us just a fine sunrise/sunset image, but making from the scene a wonderful composition as well. To me you've done a very good job!

Wonderful clarity and detail, given the challenging light conditions, Elizabeth.

Outside of some C.A. (chromatic aberration ... blue along the tree branches in the shadows, red for those caught in the setting rays of light) ... some, that is (as I took your image here up to the highest resolution) ... a rather flawless capture.

Your composition and use of the trees and rail, to frame your image, shows much aforethought before depressing the shutter.

Really well done, with 'proper balance' being the operative terms and descriptor.

Thoroughly enjoyed by this viewer. :o)

And but of course, thank you for sharing your talents behind the lens with us. :o)

+favs for me.
