This one is a deep brown,a little more skittish than the yellow ones. Grabbed this shot before he filtted away! Monarchs are the most shy.

Is he getting ready to migrate, perhaps? I have read that butterflies migrate incredible distances. I ask that because it looks like he's been stuffing himself, judging from the pollen on his wings and body. Funny to use a word like "strong" for a butterfly, but that is the word that comes to my mind...his wings do look young and strong. Another very nice catch!

He should go good with the chocolate covered ants and grasshoppers Ami. Perfect for the vegetarians that want a little more than veggies. This is one good shot of a Monarch.
I bet the Butterflyettes are all over him.
