William Wordsworth (7 April 1770 – 23 April 1850) was a major English Romantic poet who, with Samuel Taylor Coleridge, helped to launch the Romantic Age in English literature with the 1798 joint publication Lyrical Ballads..Here is his Grave and that of his wife and sister in the grave yard in Grasmere.. I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze

Interesting to see the grave of the famous poet. Good capture - I remember "Behold her, single in the field, Yon solitary highland lass - Reaping and singing by herself, Stop here, or gently pass"
P.S. May not be exact - memory (RAM) is not so strong any more:)

A rather simple tombstone for such a great poet, Richie. Must say that his poetry is more impressive.

PS: sad to hear that at the moment it's lashing down up in the English lakes. Hope however you have a good stay there.

Regards, Cornelius.

Good capture of this famous spot Richie.
I think that was the first poem I ever learned.Fields of daffs were few and far between where I lived so it seemed like a dream:)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . .
