A striking atmospheric visual recording of the time when the merchant navy (equipped with hybrid ships that could be propelled by sail and/or engine power) was still adventurous and to a certain extent nostalgic and the seamen often had a hard time, not only because the ships were more sensitive to a heavy sea state but also because of the often lesser optimal situation on board. My maritime career took place during a later era and the situation, happily was much better then. Because I'm retired, I don't know what it is like now, because I don't want to rely only on hearsay. If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
