Here is a fellow I ran across the other day who said he had wintered un in the yellow stone area. He said he was here to trade his plews and he had a powerful thirst for some of Jim Campbles whiskey. I bought him his first drink in trade for him stoping long engough to get this shot. I hope you all enjoy.

At first I thought you said the Yellow Snow area. lol. I too like the sepia and Jeremiah Johnson comes to mind. Once a person gets that mindset, it is hard to change. Good photo BTK.

Is that a true story? Pretty amazing if so. And great shot, too.

An interesting post that I just caught in the VB. Tough lighting conditions with bright sunlight on the backdrop and the subject in the shadows. If your camera allows it try dropping your exposure by 1/3 or 2/3 of a step. It will eliminate some of the blown look of the background, but may cost a little loss of detail in the subject. If you have the time take 3 or 4 shots at different exposure settings and see what you like most.

Having rambled on, I do like the composition of the shot, i think the subject being in the shadows adds a touch of mystery to the shot, and the level of detail is quite good.
