I found these old ruines while wandering the countryside of Kansas. There was a sign close by that said this had been a school and it was open from 1880 to 1945. No explanation as to why it closed but I would be it was a beautiful school because it was still pretty awesome in its present state. Thankyou all for your kind comments.

Very nice shot. I like the angle and it really looks and feels like the plains states. It does fee a little over processed but still very nice in all other ways.

Great shot Billy. Perhaps one of those prairie twisters did so much damage they could not afford to rebuild it. Especially if another school structure existed in a better location.

A terrific shot Billy. The colors are so unusual on the taller rear portion. Could you tell if that was painted that way or what?? I'm thinking it must have had a wooden roof that rotted away after all those years of no use?? Cool image!

A great shot! I wonder what kind of old things one might find laying around this place? I like the color of the main two story section.

What a neat find, Billy! Those things always make you wonder about the story, don't they? Looks like maybe there could have been a fire? Can't tell. Great capture.
