Commanche Canyon starts right outside of Colorado Springs Co. It is part of the gold mine trails. Once there were railroad tracks here and this is one of the way that the trains carrying gold out of Victor Co. ran. Now it is mostly a one lane very windy dirt road.

Don't get boxed in the canyon BTK. What a wonderful view you have captured. I bet the train ride would have been a trip.

Like Dans says I too thought I saw John Wayne there, amazing scenery those trees sure are tough putting their roots through solid rock! Well done Billy on capturing such a wild, & rugged scene so well.
