In 2000 this lift was built to reach the Schlossberg with the Clock Tower.
It is 77 meters high and carries 1125 kg or 15 persons at once. The speed is 2,5 m/s.
With this lift it was finally able to get up that mountain easily also for people who are physically disabled.
One ride is only 60 cent ;o)

Chris, reading your description an watching your image I had to puzzle somewhat. Saw at first only that circular stairway. Very interesting image with a very nice perspective. Well done. Regards, Cornelius

Stunning shot Chris! One of your best! Great combination of colours - silvers and blues and rusty old metal!

Very cool picture...it reminds me of an Escher drawing where things seem to be heading in every different direction.

What an awesome shot you have posted for us today Chris, out of this world !!
I like the spiraling staircase very much, great composition !
I think i would have taken the lift up, and would have walked down, just to admire the craftmanship and enginering.
