These are the Caribbean Flamingoes at Chester Zoo. The zoo also has a flock of the much more muted Chilean Flamingoes as well. They really are that pink. I have not adjusted the colour saturation on this image.
You have done such a good job of capturing the beauty and colors of these guys. I tried sometime ago and never posted anything, not all that good. Very good Steve. sandi♥
I hope I get this in the voting booth as it definately deserves 10/10. I just love the colour of these beautiful birds. Fav'd and thanks for sharing!

Ohhhhhhh !! I LOVE that colour. How very beautiful. You took a most fantastic photo of them, that's for sure. And look at that gorgeous reflection in the water. Well, THis is for sure ONE photo I will save in Favs and goes right onto my desktop, thank you ever so much. I love this. Verena
Yes that's pink. I like this one a lot. Flamingos are such lovely things - Jan will love this one too, she's a big fan. I learned recently that the pink colour comes from all the shrimps in their diet - in captivity they add a colouring agent to their food. This is really vibrant Steve, it jumps out at you from the screen.
Graet shot Steve. Took some pictures of them flamingoes when I visited Chester zoo on my last visit to the UK. However none came near to yours. If I remember correctly there was this net hampering the focussing . The best shot I took was of the orang utan.
Truly FAB-U-LOUS Steve. Did you know they get their pink from eating shell fish, the more they eat the more pink they become. I'm orginial from the southern states and they are so funny to watch.
