It wasn't particularly stormy yesterday down at the New Brighton seafront at the mouth of The River Mersey but it was high tide and so there were some crashing waves. You can see Fort Perch Rock in the background.
I thought your title was a suggestion. I was getting ready to wave at someone. LOL. Now that's some wave action. Super colors and an overall great scene.
To me, what sets this one apart is the lighting. The water next to the Pier in the shadows contrasts so strongly against the brightly lit crashing wave! Great timing and focus as well!
I LOVE the way the sun is shining through the crest of the wave. Our sea was a little bit swollen here today but I didnt get a chance to go down with the camera. I am so glad you did U Steve.
Just a great action shot Caruso. I love the wave action and Fort Perch Rock in the background as well. It makes for a pleasing experience. Lighting and clarity are perfect.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
Steve, I have to say I just love the way you capture the drama of the waves there. IT is just fantastic. Such a nice combination of feelings. The pastel colours of the sky and then the light shining on the buildings, and then in front, the wonderful dark drama of the water, with that big ol' splash!!! I would love to stand there with you and take lots of photos.Evidently you did some touchup work on this, in PHotoshop?
It's really nice and I've saved this and also put it on my desktop.
I just get all excited when I look at this, could stare at it for a long long while. I LOVE your photos of this area. MORE MORE?!!! Thank you so so much. Verena
