It is so named because of Bonnie and Clyde sitting on top! They were throwing a fit the whole time I was there. I think they are nesting somewhere close. The huge chain is for barges that come up the river. I hope you like!
I like this very much! It has a dreamy quality, a bit surreal with the misty trees.Nice to see Bonnie and Clyde up there. And that chain is really something.
I thought maybe these fearsome beasts were chained to the rock as guardians of the harbour. :o
A great shot Paul, love the colouring of the rock and the trees in the background. A wonderful composition and lovely scene. Very nicely done!
I guess that rock isn't going anywhere...they have it chained down.....or are the geese chained down? I like the sunlight on the rock, and the natural looking colors. Nice shot, Paul.
Glad you explained about the chain Paul. I thought maybe the geese had towed in their own nesting place. It really looks great with sun shining on it and the geese resting. Great post.
I had this in the VB this morning. Loved it! Didn't realize it was yours....see what happens when I fall behind. Love that big rock out in the middle of the water...and the way the low sunlight gives the setting a golden glow. Very pretty

Fabulous autumnal colours, Paul. Great details on the rock, particularly those russet-browns; and the presence of Bonnie & Clyde really make this special.
Hey Paul, you have captured amazing lighting in this shot and the lighting is really soothing. I love the light on the trees at the far end, converting the leaves of the trees into gold. The clarity is very good and the birds on that rock sure look like kind and queen of the mountain as Pat said. faved
Oh I immediately fell in love with the chain and the moss!! I also love how the tops of the trees are such a great colour. But I couldn't help but think, for one brief moment, that that was quite a heavy chaing to keep those two geese on that rock!! But I had to laugh at my own self for that thought!!heehee
Very lovely photo Paul. Verena
