Wow Paul! I love the criss-crossed trees up at the top! Amazing! And the fallen log at the bottom gives a good balance to the shot! What a pretty place!

Paul - Again, the moss and ferns are so abundant with the green tone filling the photo. The fallen log in the foreground and the crossed ones up high are an integral part of this scene. Very good control of lighting in this shot balancing the dark crevice and the bright sky beyond. I hope you were on a dry spot for this shot. Very well done! Thad
I like dark photos as well Paul. This one looks good this way because it makes you feel so far down even the sun can't reach you. I like the X on the fallen logs too. What are the odds?
I suspect more then one raccoon or other types have crossed on the log.
Oh, I really like this one Paul and have to agree with you I like it dark. Makes you feel like it's in a small canyon with high walls. Really like the lush colours and it's a fantastic find.
Wow, this scene looks so surreal, Paul! I absolutely love all the moss, and you were so right to leave it a bit dark! Does anything get through this passage, I wonder? And, that tree trunk looks to be growing out from the rock! Simply amazing capture, Paul! Faved.
Yeah, it's very nice dark like this, very foreboding. Reminds me of a scene right out of Lord of the Rings. That "X" formed by two fallen trees is one of nature's oddities... unless, of course, you made it that way, but I'm not seeing "manip" in the gallery line above so it must be natural. There's a little bit of noise in there but I think it adds to the surreal sensation I'm getting from the scene, as though there was just a hint of mist. Good capture.
