Taken on a cliff about 30 feet above the Columbia River. I just though it looked refreshing. Hope you like!

Paul - It looks like this was taken later in the day with the sun light closer to the horizon creating some nice shadows. The rock formation in the lower right is quite dark, masking some very nice details - perhaps dodging it a bit would bring them out. Thad

Such a breath-taking view! Hope you didn't fall off the cliff side to get this shot! The details are amazing.

Wow, a fantastic view of the river and good perspective of the scene. I like the lighting in your shot and those long shadows being cast in the foreground. Great work Paul.

A great view and refreshing is the right word Paul. I wish the size had been a little larger for desktop but I know that can't always be done.
Vantage point is good.

Wow Paul, the clarity is amazing! It looks like a windy day from the caps on the water. How far from The Dalles is this? I've only traveled this route a few times over the years.

Indeed, a breath-taking and refreshing capture, Paul! I especially like the lighting on the fir trees and rock on the lower right. I would also agree with Thad in his suggestion on dodging the shadowed area on the lower right to perhaps bring out some more details. Love the perspective you chose. Excellent work my friend!

Very very nice. Do you like to hike? My husband and I have a trail we want to hike this summer? At the end of the trail there is a remarkable view of Mt. Hood. Are you interested in coming along?
