Redwood Forest, Crescent City California. Its hard to capture just how big some of these trees are! Some are more than a thousand years old and there are stumps that could hold two teams of horses and wagons. I hope you enjoy the reflections.

Quite the scene you've presented here, Paul. A very nice reflection in the brackish waters of the pool. Nice lush colours in the undergrowth. Those are some lovely looking trees in the background. I like the lines they create in your photo. Great work!

Paul - I'm waiting for an alligator to emerge from the murky water! The color saturation is quite nice. The numerous redwood tree trunks with the fern undergrowth makes a nice image. Thad

Wow...now that is some vibrant green ferns! Love the different textures and lines. The V in the water really draws the eyes to the center of the photo.

It is the redwood trees that steal the show. An amazing site seeing those towering old trees. Thank you for sharing it.

I have heard of those redwood trees and how the stumps of some are so large you could drive a car through...as for this image, the lush greenery is gorgeous and the reflective pond leads the eye to the main attraction, those impressive trees...wonderful capture...favs.

Excellent shot! I actually like that you can't see the tops, shows you just how enormous they are. I like the green tones, just right!

Great composition here. The 'X' of the shrubbery is fantasic against the 'pinstripe' of the trees. I'm wondering if either increasing the contrast slightly and/or deepening the shadows might give this a little bit more 'oomph'. Still, very nice shot selection.

It is difficult to get an understanding from a photo on just how big they are Paul. Maybe you could use your timer and get in the shot. :) Lots of cool greens.

Really brings back memories for me, as I used to live in Calif. Beautiful and the Redwoods, and Sequoia's are a sight to behold.

Intensity of colour is great, the reflections work a treat, the composition with four wedges is cool. My only niggle is maybe the comp is a bit square, the wedge of the trees and the wedge of the water being of similar ratios to the overall image. Reflections are one of those times that symmetry can work better than thirds but I'm not sure it's premium for this particular scene.
