Last night I went to my usual sunset watering hole to see what end of the day colors I could get. I was shocked to find the entire place filled in with dirt. I guess they started about the time I went on vacation and worked very fast! This is in memory of The Sunset Watering Hole ??? - August 2011

This is a beautiful image to remember it by, do you have any idea why they are filling it in? What a loss to loose this beautiful place.

Really pity, they destroyed the place. You made fantastic shots there. This is very good tribute.

Paul - It is too bad that the area has been filled in, for some sort of development no doubt. Given the beauty of this sky, I hope you are able to find another peaceful location. Thad

The "dirty rats" Paul. They filled in the waterhole. The "dirt devils" anyway. Glad you saved one for us to give it our last wishes. I have found sometimes men with bulldozers have no sense of art. They just like to push stuff around.
Excellent post by the way.

Beautiful warm colors and a great sunset with silhouettes shot, but why did they fill it in with dirt?

Wow what stunning colours, made all the better that it is reflected and you get to see it twice. The tree silhouettes are just enough to break up the sky and water. Such a beautiful shot!
