Before I read the post I was thinking "Here in my neck of the woods, they only decorate like this for weddings!" Named for Henry Ford's son, the Edsel was supposed to be a very advanced vehicle, but it had lots of technical problems and the public hated it, particularly the gearshift in the middle of the steering wheel. Today they are collector's items. I have had occasion, in the past, to haul one of these on a tilt-and-roll flatbed a few times. The weight of this vehicle was very surprising until I crawled underneath to attach the winch hook, discovering that there is so much steel cross-bracing on the underside, for structural support, that that must be where the weight comes from. Personally, I thought they were cool looking, very industrial artistic in appearance. Your angle in this shot does it justice.
