So beautiful and relaxing John! That dead tree will bring the bass in for sure, so its death isn't all that bad.

Just think Shads when the spring floods come this tree will continue its journey somewhere downstream. It will be a refuge for some type of life form. Parts of it may even end up as pieces of driftwood on display in some enchanted room. A new adventure for the tree.

Good composition and a well thought out post Shads. I love the fall leaves playing their song in the background.

I like your catchy title there, John. Every time I see the name Olentangy, I think of Ohio State Football. Very nice fall shot.

So nicely composed, John and lots of nice elements like the rocks and the island, but the tree takes center stage as it should in a finely composed image as this one.

Ahh the scent of the Olentangy. I love that name. It will indeed be the last fall for this tree but you used it to good effect. There are some very nice qualities to this, from the smoothness of the water to the light on the grass and trees. It's a very peaceful composition.
