I spent many a day last summer at a diamond not unlike this trying to get a pearl of a shot Shads. Parents try to relive their youth in places like this all over the world. Scenes like this speak volumes to me.
A nice shot of America's pass-time playground, John. For those of us who know the game and grew up as kids on that diamond, your image reignites fond memories. A home run photo!
John, as non USA citizen I thought that a diamond was any kind of crystalline of carbon. Now I know that it's a baseball area marked by the four bases as well. Viewing your image, that makes sense to me and understand Tick's comment now, lol.

I too had to figure out what diamond this is because baseball is not so popular in Europe and the name diamond also is therefore not known so well. Nice capture of the building and grounds with good lighting John.
This brings back the memories of days gone by, and even makes me aware of the smell of my baseball glove, and the feel of a bat in my hands, and thoughts of running the bases, or chasing down a ball coming my way in the outfield. Excellent shot, John.
A wonderful capture of the BB diamond & it's surroundings, John. The lighting is perfect as well as the detail.
I grew up 2 blocks from a baseball field, so guess where I spent my fun time during the summer. I noticed in my area they are sitting quietly too ... until next season when that first pitch is thrown.
The title kind of threw me. :) =^..^=tigs♥
