Toorenvliedt is the name of an old (built in 1754) mansion just outside the town of Middelburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands. This is the last image in this small Toorenvliedt sub-series. It's possible that the name Toorenvliedt was derived from the old-Dutch name 'Thoornvliet' that means, when literally translated from Dutch into English, 'Stream of Wrath'. As you can see by the blooming daffodils, this image of the backside of Toorenvliedt is taken a couple of weeks ago. Hope you'll enjoy this post.

I like the angle you shot this from!...just off-centre!...

The pond and the daffodils add interest to a terrific post!

Too bad someone spilled their popcorn on the ground. LOL. That's some stately mansion. I'd like to see the interior. Excellent picture, Cornelius.

Composed beautifully, and the all elegance of this fine building captrured. Spring must be the most beautiful time here - those daffodils make this picture extra nice.

I did enjoy this post C. The mansion reminds me of a church with the steeple and cross. It that usual for homes there? I see some ducks. I wonder if they are taking over the world. Ducks are everywhere you look. Great colors and super post.

Would be nice to just walk the grounds of this lovely old house. I like the inclusion of the water and the daffodills here too, Cornelius. It is a really fine perspective and the clarity is so good too.
