Normally my uploads have a size of 3200 by 2090 pixels, but after reading Pat/Momma's advice I've decided to reduce the size of this image to 1600 by 1045 pixels and 72 dpi. Have to see if the result's still acceptable to you and me. Please let me know.

Hope you'll enjoy this image anyhow. This image was taken on June 22nd, 2009 at the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

Beautiful shot Cornelius, with the field extending all the way to the village. The sky looks fantastic too. Since we all view the photos suitable to our screen size (mine is 1280x1024) and not at the maximum size, here it doesn't make a difference. I doubt if anyone is using s screen size higher than 1600 width although the height proportion varies from 0.8 downwards.

I think Pat, gave you solid advice and this is a very pleasing and well done posting. I think overall by keeping them smaller it does help the quality of the image. ♪ ♫ :)sandi♪ =^..^=

Looks fabulous to me Cornelius. It's such a peaceful and serene looking village and would be a wonderful place to live. Your capture is so gorgeous and love the field of yellow in the foreground.

Looks good to me C. I guess I will have to figure out the size of my monitor. I suppose it is listed somewhere. I know the 1600 x 1200 works perfect on mine.
Love the bright colors and the field in front of the village.
Good health to you and yours.

For me the best is just 1200 x 1024 or so [I would hate to sound silly after the work I have done last night - translated 20 odd pages on civil engineering, namely construction and more in detail on erection of wind metering device. [top secret and I am not supposed to disclose any information LOL]. Is the size so important because if it is, than instead of letting other people earn money on my pics I would rather post them all in avatar size !!!!! This is my practical Mom's Jewish nature speaking through me LOL

Hey Mr C, I figure the images I download here are only ever going to be seen on my computer screen so there definitely is a limit on the quality needed for that purpose. I've recently reduced the size of images I post and I may reduce them even further so the largest size is 1680x1050 which is my screen aspect. Can't remember what dpi I use. :)
