One for Manic Monday. This huge sculpture was captured in a private meadow on the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

PS: I couldn't find any details about it, probably because in Holland we don't have talking horses, lol .

At first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me and the proper scale of things...a marvellous sculpture...and a great angle and capture...good MM post, SEA.

A magnificent sculpture Cornelius. Well taken, it looks lovely with the fall colours. It must be quite enormous.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

A most curious statue in the middle of a field, Cornelius. I am reminded of a scene from "The Godfather" where a horse's head turns up in an unlikely location. Your image is beautifully photographed and presented.

Great shot of the sculpture Mr. C - not sure why anyone would want to sculpt a horse with his ears back though.

I think it is a Horse Radish growing wild, SEA. :)
If I am ever over that way, I will get the scoop for you. As you know, I speak fluent horse.
Great sculpture and you picked the perfect vantage point as usual.

What a huge and unusual sculpture! Ears back like that on a horse is usually a sign of anger or displeasure. Maybe this sculpture is a kind of "Do Not Disturb" warning to trespassers!

I love the natural stone, the lighting, and the beautiful setting. Nice one.

What a neat find Mr. C. - probably quite valuable and also too heavy to be easily stolen. A great MM post.

Well, either this fellow is on very low ground or he's missing his bod, lol. That's an amazing sculpture, almost looks kind of like a horse from the Roman age
