This image was captured in November, 2016. It shows a part of the many small islands in the lake of Veere, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

Because of the shallow depth of its surrounding water, it's very hard to near it closely by boat, probably a comforting thought for the birds living there, as apparently they feel at ease now.

Beautiful lighting. Lettuce Lake has an area that serves as a rookery for many different types of birds. Being less than a half mile from there, sometimes the birds fly over to our lake.
