My Foofy Friday (F²) contribution for this week.

I like to use this opportunity to express briefly my thoughts of what happened in America.

I've visited this country many times during my previous career. The people I've met were very friendly, and thoughtful/wise people. That's why I suppose that the people who've breached the Capitol last Wednesday (January 6th, 2021) aren't representative for where America stands for.

However, apart from the 'inland terrorists' - who only envision the destruction of the good that America has - it strikes me that so many people blindly believe that what they are being 'portrayed', is the truth, without any form of fact checking. They let themselves be whipped up.

I hope that the situation will normalize quickly and that democracy will remain intact. That's not only important for America, but for the entire free world.

I hope that my wish will come true.
