As you may know my small country (The Netherlands aka Holland) is known for several reasons, in particular by its flowers.
In several area's of my country, and in my neighbor country Belgium to a lesser extent as well, flower parades are held during the spring time.
The photographs of this series were taken on April 22th, 2023 at such a flower parade in the north west part of my country.
A colorful sight. The only disadvantage this year was the gray and rainy weather. I hope that, in spite of the not optimal weather conditions, the series still will bring you festive sights.
PS: all the items/topics on the floats in this series are made by all kind of flower petals (mostly of hyacinth's). A very time consuming job for sure.

Cornelius...We have the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, every January 1st. It's quite the deal and is watched on TV by millions. I know that Cal Poly wins an award every year, and I've heard it takes many people to put on float together. This float and parade seems much more personal and seems to allow the visitors a close look at the work. She shot is colorful but also is look into the local economy and society. Fine work as always.

I really like this Mr. C. - I am a big fan of the rose parade here and watch it faithfully every year. I would love this parade and to to be able to be close would be even better!

Such work went into these floats, the sun could have helped out you would have thought, but you did a fine job on the photo though. The weather didn't seem to stop the folks from coming out to watch.
