The Dahlia's are in full bloom now. So I took the opportunity to capture some of them and to provide you with this one as a Foofy Friday (F²) contribution.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I know it's a well-known flower, C., but the subtle lighting and your terrific focus allows my eyes to isolate the blossom more than normal, and, having been a scuba diver in my younger years, provides me with a flash (and a flashback) that makes me think more of a sea anemone than a dry-land blossom. The petals look like they're swaying in a much denser medium than air. Very cool, and a fave for me.
