Back to the bridge today. This particular view is from the East Battery, above Fort Point, on the San Francisco side. The hills in the distance are the Marin Headlands. Thanks to all who view and comment.
What a beautiful sunny day! That world famous bridge is not really golden, but it must have gotten its name from the Gold Rush I presume. A beautiful perspective on this landmark, Donna.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Now I love this view of the Golden Gate...its different than most we see. I think I've seen it shot from just about every angle and spot around it, but this is one I had not seen, I like it so very much..to be able to see the surrounding trees and then that totally perfect sky and clouds behind that red..wow..its wonderful!! Verena
now where's the fog? what did you do to it? ;o)
a very nice photograph with beautiful weather!
were you standing on private property?
or are those two stone posts from a previous bridge?
after you cross the bridge, going north .. look to your left .. there's a little sunken area, like a pocket, there's a tunnel controlled by a traffic light because it is a one lane road (so you may sit there for 10 minutes waiting for nobody coming thru the tunnel) ..
go thru the tunnel .. on the other side is Fort Cronkite (or something) .. upon entering Ft. Cronkite, make your way to the left (south) and you'll end up on on that hill that overlooks the GG bridge with the city behind it .. this is where they report the weather and SFO city NEWS quite a bit .. beautiful view of the bridge and city from there
A friend of mine works in a camera store. The other day a very
confused looking woman approached the counter and handed my friend
a camera. She said "I took pictures, but I forgot to have film in
the camera. Can you please get them out of the camera for me?"
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to repose. Trust me on this one, I live there. :-)................ MY GALLERY - THE LION****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOMEPAGE
