Wyman Meadows lies east of Thoreau’s cabin site in Walden Wood. This year’s rains have flooded the meadow. Only a narrow land bridge separates a submerged Wyman’s Meadow from Thoreau’s Cove of Walden Pond.

It is easy to understand why Thoreau joined with Emerson, Bronson Alcott, and William Ellery Channing to form the "Walden Pond Walking Association", in 1855. For map: http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/walden/brochures.htm”

Yes, it's easy to see why they did. What an amazing place for any naturalist or writer to live in or to frequent. I'm glad you posted this. I haven't been here either. Shame on me.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I had this in VB and gave it a ten. I don't understand why the score is so low. It's absolutely stunning with all the colors and reflections. Very nice.
