Found this in my old files. White Breasted Nuthatch. While I am waiting for my Canon 40D to come in I have been preparing my bird studio on my back deck for the Winter birds, All of them have arrived, Junco, Nuthatch, Titmouse and others, I should be posting new photos soon.

He's a beauty, Gregg. I am having some trouble adapting to my new camera. I'll be anxious to see your images when you get yours.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

A real beauty Gregg!! Perfect placement and backdrop!! Have you seen any of the ruby-breasted ones?? I've seen a few at my feeder...same look, just that they have a sorta washed-out red on their belly instead of pure white.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round?? Picture Purrrfect .

A good photo Gregg
And better than "Junco Fever" simply due to the contrasting background. I imagine this is heavily cropped, and am intrigued as to what mag lens was used ?
Nice one. :d
