I am trying to learn the Raw shooting mode. I will need a lot of practice but I hear it is the best way to take photos. The lighting was terrible today but I got a few good ones.

Gregg, I think this is a marvelous effort using that format. You nailed the colors, and markings of him so well. I have yet to get a good one of these birds. Kudos on learning the RAW mode, it does give you more options. =^..^=Tigs

Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.
Once I found RAW mode, I have never gone back. You did a fantastic job on this shot. Love the different colors on the feathers.

Gregg ... shooting in RAW mode is the only way to go. Love the colorful detail on this Starling. I don't see too many of these birds during the winter months (they must all fly to Missouri) ... so this capture is a real treat. Wonderful capture.
