The Kings Bridge Gorge Cottage is located in the Cataract Gorge Reserve, less than one kilometre from the city centre in Launceston, Tasmania. The cottage was built in the 1890s and originally housed the gatekeeper for the reserve. It is now being used for an Artists in Residence Program. The Artist in Residence Program is offered by the City Council to artists from any recognised art form including, but not limited to, painting, music, dance, sculpture or writing. The program offers the opportunity to stay at, and be inspired by, the Kings Bridge Cottage at Launceston's Cataract Gorge Reserve.

Frank, I'm curious whether they have a place for me as well, lol.

Think is a perfect place to get new inspiration. Very nice capture.

Regards, Cornelius.

Maybe if I stayed there a while, I would be inspired to try my hand at one or more of the arts. (Not dancing, though.) LOL. Great shot of that handsome place.

It's wonderful when artists are encouraged like this anywhere...

It is good to see that artistry is well thought of in your part of the world Frank. I wish it were more widespread.
Beautiful cottage. It looks like it is leaning some to the left but perhaps that is just the hill.
Good shot.
