The Mungo Shearing Shed was built in 1869. Made from local cypress pine, it featured an ingenious drop-log construction. At its peak it was a hive of activity with 18 men hand shearing up to 50,000 sheep. Ironically the erosion caused by sheep, rabbits and tree felling reduced the capacity for farming and revealed the long held secrets of the ancient lake bed.

An interesting story accompanied by an also interesting capture (or vice versa). Must have been hectic in this shed at its peak, Frank.
You've captured this Australian heritage very well!
