What a beautiful place Lake Louise is, surrounding by the mountains in the Banff National Park. I was lucky enough to visit there 2 years ago when I took this photo and will be heading for Calgary again in May (from the UK) to visit a friend there, so I will be able to see Banff and the beautiful Rocky Mountains again - I am hoping I will be able to capture some amazing images.

I think this image would have worked better with the mountains framing the lake, if possible. The water is amazingly clear. I think this is a nice image.

It’s a beaut photo. You might not agree but I think it could be improved a little by eliminating the rock on the left. However it’s a marvellous shot anyway and a scene I could gaze at for a very long time.

thx for the positive comments. I agree it might be better without the rock - maybe I should try and clone some of the water over it. I tried to crop it, but it did not quite work out as I hoped - it appeared to make it less attractive with less water at the bottom. I might have another go though. :)

My Gallery
That place is incredible. I was lucky enough to go there last summer, we stayed at the fairmont. The hotel was beautiful and the area had the most breathtaking scenery I've seen in my life. Yellowstone didn't compare, at least the portions I visited this summer. Great shot, you can even see the canoes in the background.

I've been looking through your gallery and discovered Lake Louise. It's breathtaking. Feel like I'm there. Almost get the feeling there's a waterfall waiting over the horizon. Great post.
