..this is an awesome piece of architecture. It is the Lowry theatre and it also houses the Lowry Art Exhibition (famous artist Lowry is from Salford) and it is located at Salford Quays. At night it is illuminous and by day it is a steel colour - see my other photograph. If you look through the windows you can see the bright orange and purple interior and see that the floors are all angled. Right behind me is the Millenium Bridge which you can see in some of my earlier photographs.

Superbly colorful image. After I have been in a "dark" mood lately, this is a pleasent surprise.

There is only one way a person would want to see this-stone cold sober! And even then, I think one would get dizzy and begin staggering around. Excellent choice of captures. truly unique.

lol Pat! yes I was sober even though it was close to midnight - I had gone to collect my daughter who was visiting a friend in the area. and my camera does not take good photos at night and the setting I use makes it blurred because I really need to use a tripod. soooo with the lack of tripod and to be honest I do not have one with me usually, I rested the camera against the side of a lamppost and that did the trick!! lol!

Amazing shot without a tripod, but at least you had your camera! The color and light are so vivid, it makes a beautiful evening shot.

Funny how the lights at night make everything seem so much prettier and alive. These colors are certainly eye appealing Patti.
