.......ahhhh at last I got chance to go out and try out my new camera - the weather was just lovely this evening! :):) , so I took a walk down Poynton canal and through farmland towards Lyme Park and took hmmmm 167 photos hehe!
Well, if the other 166 are this good, you're well on your way to mastering your new camera. Very good shot, especially the way the ducks are spread out .
I can't wait either Patti to see the others. These taxi/tour boats are very pretty and colorful. Almost as though they're trying to compete with each other for customers by the bright colors.Excellent capture Patti- so pretty.
167 huh?? Well those should last you about a week Patti! lol Maybe you could ask Caedes for a variance on the number of posts you can do!? lol This is very neat! I love the colors of those..boats..gondolas!?? Hope we get to see some up close soon! Great capture Patti! ~Dan'l
ooh, this one is just great. where do the boats go? the angle of the photograph is excellent as is the color. i'll look forward to seeing your other pics. jen
The boats are all houseboats or sometimes called canal boats or barges. Most of them, if not all of them will be privately owned. Some people live on the boats and have gardens at the side of the canal and other people just take their boats out on the canals at weekends and on holidays - there is a huge network of canals in the UK. This is fascinating, Patti! Well shot and a treat to see things there. ok, bring on the other 166!! I'm so glad you got a chance to take lots of photos with your new camera! - Patty with a y
Hey, this is good. Those sure are different looking boats. I love wooden boats. Don't see too many of those because they are high maintenance. This is nicely done with it's crisp clear capture.

How interesting this is Patti. Gosh your new camera does wonderful work...as does the operator. Nice clarity and color. Well done and excellent post. Thanks for this Patti.
All the wonders you seek are within yourself. Always glad to see visitors at My Gallery and thanks for your continued kind words and constant support. Anita
Hi Patti,
This is a very good photo. You got your new camera...i am glad for you...I am sure you will find quite a defirence in your picture taking. These are houseboats as you say. I know that there are quite a few canals built in Britain. If I am not correct, were not these canals built during hte industrial revolution when the steam engine was in use....gerry..
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

A day out on the canal eh!........Been on one of those barge boats afore! (not from here)
Yorkshire end!.........That new toy! of yours works a treat?....keep on like this and the rest of us will be redundant!...............Great and colourful capture..........
hehehe yes it goes fast hey with a digicam, ...167 photos... : )
how did we ever manage in the past with only small film rolls of 36 exposures ?
In Switzerland, my top day was 450 pictures hehe he. i just took 1 image each 20 meters or so, all around the lake, now i can view it in the slide show, as a small movie :) great invention that digital stuff.
Thanks for this lovely waterfront view !!
OMG, 167 photos; what a download just to view! But, that's the way to learn a new camera, which you have to do fast before you go on holiday! These boats and your canal system are fascinating. I've not seen anything quite likde this in the states. There's the intercoastal in Florida, but there are not really a lot of houseboats. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great photograph and I love the clarity of the image. The boats look great and i love the little ducks in the foreground. Excellent work
